Get seen.: You could have strep throat which must be treated. Also, since you have been feeling bad, especially if not improving any after 2-3 days, it could be something else serious that needs treatment. Time to find out. Go to an UC center or call your doc.

Positional: Hi, veins could become flat or more prominent depending on our position but if you are not feeling well, having fever, headache, change in ur vision then see a doctor ASAP to rule out Temporal arthritis or blood clot. Best of luck.

Need more info: Many reasons for this to be happening. You may have a viral syndrome, hypertention or something else. It would be very important to see your family physician very soon.
