Too Little, Too Much: I have seen both extremes of this. Sometimes depression will lead to a general apathy about relationships with a disregard for others. However, some depressed people will be hypersensitive to what they think are the thoughts and feelings of others. Depression can cause distortions in the way messages are received from others, causing the depressed individual to react wrongly towards others.
