Random sugar high?: I saw that you took gatorade before you took the test. Any stressful condition can cause high sugar /low sugar levels. The steroids released to cope up with physical stress like fever/pain/emotional stress can temporarily make the blood sugar high. After the fever settles down, after you become better overall, after a wk or so from now,get your fasting blood sugar checked. Any family h/o Diabetes?
