Loaded question: Why would you take them if you don't need them? All medicines have side-effects, some of them lethal. Taking a medicine for no reason isn't smart at all. NSAIDs can cause problems like stomach ulcers & kidney failure. Narcotics can cause respiratory depression and death.Tylenol (acetaminophen) can cause liver failure-and death. Don't use medicines you don't need. Period.
