Common: If you are not used to running it can do this. Start exercising and run for short periods, at slower speeds and gradually increase endurance. Stop if you have pain and walk till it goes away. If any running at all causes pain, get checked out and find out what is going on. Getting in shape is great, but it shouldn't hurt too much and make you quit trying.
