Adjustments: These centers can offer socialization, support, regular meals, and activities to seniors who would otherwise not have access to these while living alone. Many centers have visiting physicians and nurses, plus transportation to church and other needed places. However, downsizing from a large home one has lived in for years, is a big adjustment. Leaving belongings and neighbors can be tough.
