Emotional support: animal is different than a therapy animal or a service animal. A service animal is either a dog or a miniature horse which have to be shown to do something that a person needs done because of their disability. An emotional support can be any type of animal that helps the person to feel safer or emotionally more stable. Emotional support animals don't fall under the American with Disabilities act
