Rx for tremor: If a tremor occurs due to Parkinsons disease, it typically is worse on one side, occurs with rest, and reduces with movement. Treatment of a Parkinsonian tremor is normally done with dopamin, especially levodopa-carbidopa (aka sinemet). People who do not find adequate relief with a large dose of this medicine sometimes find a brain stimulator device to be helpful.

PD Meds &Tremors: Sinemet (carbidopa and levodopa) (carbidopa/levodopa) is the medication that has the most symptomatic effect on tremor, however, dopamine agonists can cause a significant reduction in tremor as well. Introduction of Sinemet (carbidopa and levodopa) is usually delayed, especially in patients400mg in 4-6 years.
