Skin flora: It's the same as anywhere else on the skin. There are a number of bacteria. The most common are staph epidermidis and other staph species. Strep mitis is frequent and strep pyogenes is less common. Priopionobacterium is common as is acintobacter. There are others that are not as frequent. Fungal growth from candida is also very common and there are other fungi to a lesser degree.
