HIV/AIDS medication: AIDS is treated with antiretroviral therapy (ART) in order to suppress the levels of HIV in the body. There are 6 classes of HIV medication and the Department of Health and Human Services recommends starting treatment with at least 3 HIV drugs from 2 different classes. An example is Atripla which contains emtricitabine, efavirenz, and tenofovir 3-in-1 pill. NIH link: http://tinyurl.com/h2mx4o
