As a dentist I would often be the first professional to suspect a condition of acid reflux because many times it is ‘silent’ or without the typify symptoms of heart burn. These patients would often have sensitive teeth, enamel loss (often blamed on grinding) and higher decay incidence and progression. Even hygienists with this condition would get cavities so this shows how seriously to take it.
