Two plus kinds: Hi. Drugs that are marketed as insulin sensitizers are the biguanide, metformin, and the TZDs pioglitazone and rosiglitazone. However, other drugs not marketed as insulin sensitizers DO improve insulin sensitivity by weight loss. These drugs include GLP-1 receptor agonists, SGLT-2 inhibitors, and the weight loss drugs. So insulin sensitizers go beyond what is marketed as an insulin sensitizer.
