Don't believe in it: The kidneys ARE the organs that help remove toxic substances from our bodies, together with the liver and, to a lesser extent, the skin and lungs. I do not believe that there is adequate evidence that indicates that our organs become "toxic" with outside substances that need to be removed. In individual cases where there is exposure to heavy metals and other industrial compounds, this may occur.
