Abused?: I am not sure why you would ask such a question. Antidepressants are often overprescribed, but abuse usually refers to using something for the purpose of getting high. Antidepressants do not make you high. In fact they will have no effect on you if you are not depressed. Many of them can also help with anxiety. None of them are addictive, but some can have withdrawal symptoms if stopped abruptly
