Lens clouding: Senile is defined as "age related" or having to do with aging. A cataract is the clouding of the lens of the eye. Cataract comes from the latin term waterfall. To the naked eye, a cataract looked like a waterfall over the lens. Actually the clear epithelial cells crystallize due to a number of problems forming a cloudy spot in the lens which can impair vision. This can occur as we age.
