Pyloroplasty emptys: The pylorus is the valve connecting the end of the stomach and the first portion of the duoduenum.. It functions to prevent reflux retrograde from small bowel up into stomach. The sphincter is controlled by vagus nerve so that any proceure where nerve is compromised causes persistent spasm and failure to empty stomach. A partial incision into pylorus opens it to allow proper stomach emptying,
