Stiffness of the --: joints that were immobilized. you'll see a thinned out extremity due to the atrophy of muscles due to not having been used, and discomfort in the joints being used due to the stiffness. Your Orthopod would probably sent you for PT to get those joints moving and to build up the strength in the muscles, so you can resume normal activities, one these effects of a cast are overcome.
