A member asked:

What can you do if taking levodopa (l-dopa) for parkinson's disease causes nausea and vomiting?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Comments: 1. You are rather young at age 34 to have developed Parkinson's disease. Do you perhaps have a different diagnosis to explain your symptoms? 2. L-DOPA could cause GI side effects, and other meds may be tolerated better, BUT, 3. I recommend a second opinion from a neurologist who specializes in movement disorders at Univ of Pittsburgh.
