A member asked:

What is a thyroparathyroidectomy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Thyroparathyroidecto: That is an operative procedure during which both your thyroid and parathyroid glands are surgically removed. Immediately after surgery you will be treated with meds that restore normal thyroid and parathyroid levels. You will need long-term laboratory evaluation as you recover from the surgery and hopefully for many decades later!
