None: Can't really think of an OTC med strong enough to quell the pain of a broken limb. Usually narcotic pain relievers would be used. I never recommend NSAIDS like Advil or Aleve when you need healing as they do relieve pain, but they also interfere with the healing process, potentially prolonging the healing phase. You're pretty much left with Tylenol (acetaminophen). If no choice & really need relief, use an NSAID.

NSAIDS: Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) can help with both pain relief and in reducing inflammation. Examples are ibuprofen (like Advil, Nuprin or Motrin), Naproxen sodium (like Aleve, (naproxen) Naprosyn, Anaprox) or Asprin (such as Bayer, Ecotrin, Ascriptin). Avoid NSAID's if pregnant or allergic to them. In that situation can consider acetaminophen.
