Primary vs. scondary: H. Primary adrenal insufficiency is treated with glucocorticoid )hydrocortisone or prednisone) PLUS mineralocorticoid (fludrocortisone). Secondary (central) adrenal insufficiency only needs glucocorticoid replacement. Good luck!
