What does it mean if the liver showed chronic passive venous congestion?

Liver Drainage: It means that the liver (or a part of it) isn't draining well. The blood leaving the liver is having trouble doing this. Usually, this is seen in the setting of congestive heart failure, but can also be seen if there are problems with the veins draining the liver.
