Post nasal drip...: Is a term for what is described as secretions from the back of the nasopharynx cascading down the throat. Cough, tickle in throat, phlegm, hoarseness endues. Resultant hacking can trigger a chronic cycle that perpetuates and is hard to break. GERD can flare. Need to assess an asthmatic component, usually by PFT (spirometry). Usually allergy treatment helps. If persists, get laryngoscopy.
