What do high protime levels indicate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Clotting factor: Hi Prothrombin times are a measure of how fast your blood clots. Typically, we don't look directly at the protime but at another value called the INR, which is a standardized version and a much more reliable indicator of how thin your blood is than looking at protime itself. There are many things that can cause a high pro time and high INR. More info here http://mayocl.in/2rfbkPv Hope this helps
