Rotateq: is a live oral vaccine intended to offer protection from 4 types of Rotavirus that causes severe diarrhea and dehydration in infants. It is a 3-dose series administered between 6 and 32 weeks of age. Booster doses are not given. Some viral shedding after administration is documented, so should be used with caution if household contacts are immune deficient.
