Thousands of different determinations can be made on blood samples, from complete blood counts to blood sugars, electrolytes, liver function tests, kidney tests and many many others. Ethyl glucuronide (EtG) is usually tested in urine but can be tested in blood, and is a long-acting metabolite of alcohol that can determine drinking over days rather than hours.
