Depends.: Good question. Maggots of a fly. Do you mean if you eat them? No. But they can cause myiasis (skin boils) if they land on you (or animals) and lay eggs in your skin. Big boils. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cordylobia_anthropophaga It is not a disease found in the US. However, Americans can get the same thing from the botfly. It is common in my area on animals and humans can get "bots," too
