Peptic ulcer: These are not usually related to an inability or decreased ability to digest foods. You should be checked for Helicobacter pylori infection, removed from NSAIDS and perhaps treated with antacids or other medications designed to reduce gastric acidity. Hopefully your doctor is doing these things. If not, see a GI specialist.

Not much.: Peptic ulcer disease does not affect your ability to digest food. What you should do is avoid any particular foods which you notice give you problems. Some people have issues with spicy or acidic foods. If you do, avoid those. You should take your medicine to treat the ulcer, and to eliminate Helicobacter pylori, if it was found to be present. Avoid aspirin and NSAID's, such as ibuprofen, also.
