Sinus disease: The sinuses are aerated chambers that often get closed off and infected. Antibiotics are helpful but the important thing is to open them up again so they will drain. This is often achieved by using gentle saline solution or inhaled nasal steroids. Make sure the air you are breathing is not too dry. Occasionally topical antibiotics will help with the healing.
