You are protected: Once you complete the first pack of birth control pills and start the second pack, you should be protected from pregnancy. Don't forget to take your pill everyday to remain protected. Some young women set an alarm on their phone to remind them to take their pill.

Questions BCP: if this is your firt pack of BCP----just started this method you want some secondary protection for the first 1 week of packet--so that the level of the hormone builds up---if you have been using them for awhile--and have not missed any pills you are protected day 1 of new pack

One per day: If you were already on them the month before and did not miss any days then you are already protected. You do not become unprotected when you are on the last 7 pills each month. Just take one per day.
