Not clear: Some docs may check for herpes in certain situations, some may not. So ask your doctor what she means. If we wanted to hurt/lie to people for a living we all were smart enough to go to law school or be bankers (Joke!-sort of)

Correct: Testing for herpes during pregnancy is NOT a standard requirement set forth by the American College of Ob-Gyns. They may test you if you have an outbreak.
