I am having belching, upper abdominal pain that is tender if pushed on ,burning, nausea that is getting worse and more persistent. what could it be?

Gallbladder or gerd: Upper abdominal pain with nausea especially in association with eating is likely to be a problem with your gallbladder. This is more likely in women. An ultrasound and or a hida scan will be needed to see if it is the gallbladder and can be ordered by your family physician. If these tests are negative I would work you up for gastroesophageal reflux disease

GERD / H. pylori: Your symptoms are consistent with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). The pain and nausea is caused from acid coming up from the stomach into the esophagus. The stomach acid causes irritation to the esophagus which can lead to serious problems. H. pylori is a bacteria that can live in the stomach and can cause GERD. H. pylori can be cured. Consider having a blood test for H.pylori.
