Could be irritation: and may I suggest you consider removal of your foreskin since balantitis VERY rare in circumcised males Hope this helps Dr Z

Could be..: Infection is one of the reasons for balanitis. It could be also a manifestation of an inflammatory condition like for example reactive arthritis, could be a drug reaction, skin reaction. Follow up with your doctor on the culture results and discuss with them other possibilities if negative for an infectious cause.
