Depends: Abdominal distension occurs when substances like air, gas, fluid, feed accumulate in the abdomen causing it to expand. Some people c./o of bloating or fullness. Excessive eating, excessive swallowing of air can cause this. Many other medical conditions can cause this feeling; e.g. Inflammatory bowel disease like Crohns Ulcerative colitis, IBS, Lactose intolerance, Celiac disease, Giardia, etc
