Probably not needed: You probably don't need medical attention if you don't have red flags after a head bump: Vomiting, waxing & waning drowsiness, disorientation, short-term memory impairment, obvious bruises around eyes or behind the ears, neck stiff & sore, fever, or just not acting like your usual self. Take care of the headache as you usually would. Be well!

If persists: It is not uncommon to have headaches at the site of a head injury. You can treat the headaches with ibuprofen or Tylenol (acetaminophen). If headaches persist or you develop new symptoms then see your doctor
