A member asked:

Would there be a need to be under general anesthesia (sleeping) for a laser retinopexy of the eye?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Mostly not: This would be done under general only if there was the unlikely possibility or no possibility of cooperation. This would include the retarded, those with uncontrollable motor activity, fierce anxiety and of course youth.
