A member asked:

What is the treatment for carcinoid syndrome?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Multidisciplinary: Tratment is multidisciplinary between surgeons, medical oncologists and intervention radiologists often. The goal is symptom control with medications or surgery or tumor ablation. Medications such as octreotide control diarrhea, flushing, rash, etc. Tumor control is achieved by surgery or tumor ablation or regional chemothearpy.
