100-450 mg. = dose : range of Lopressor (metoprolol tartrate) for hypertension. Lower doses of beta blockers are are given for fear of public speaking & a few other phobias & anxiety disorders. Have someone drive you to get your blood pressure checked, as it'll be low if it's normal off Lopressor (metoprolol tartrate). Talk to your doctor about med management, see a psychologist for Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy & avow never to self-medicate again!

Probably: But it is very unwise to exceed the prescribed dose of metoprolol. It is a useful medicine for heart rhythm problems and blood pressure problems. It probably doens't work very well to prevent panic attacks.

Heart rhythm: you took little too much, it may lower your heart rate or blood pressure significantly-although it also depends on the person, recommend going and having checked to make sure without delay.
