I don't know: what you mean by "hormonal", but I would not stop midcycle, wait until the end of the current dose cycle.

No: Typically these types of symptoms will diminish and go away. Progesterone, one of the components of birth control pills, is an appetite stimulant, so sometimes women eat more (because they think they are more hungry) initially when on birth control pills. Eat as you normally would, exercise and you won't gain weight. The pill doesn't cause weight gain. Feeling 'hormonal' will also subside.
