ADA seal toothpaste: Always look for the ADA seal on your toothpaste's plaque build up box. A fluoride, tartar control toothpaste with the ADA seal is the best choice. This shows the toothpaste has been tested, its claims are legitimate, and its ingredients are effective and safe.

MI Paste: It is widely prescribed and has been shown to be effective. I can't say if it is the best, but is is one of may excellent products available.
