Pepto Bismol (bismuth subsalicylate)?: Did you take pepto bismol (bismuth subsalicylate)? That is a common cause of your stool being black. If you did not then it is possible that you have bleeding from an ulcer in your stomach. this should be checked right away at an urgent care.
