X-ray: An x-ray will usually tell if your foot is broken. If not you may need an MRI or ct scan.

Broken Foot: Best tests start with a thorough physical examination... Foot xrays are very helpful in defining a discrete fracture or dislocation. Sometimes, other tests are needed and helpful for more difficult fractures.

X-rays are standard;: For hard to detect fractures, often and mri, a bone scan or an ultrasound examination can be of help.

Xray: Usually the area of injury is red and swollen, and painful when walking. If we see this then an xray is usually needed.
