Yes: They are both relatively low doses and taken apart as such they should not cause any interaction.

Why amitriptyline?: I'm curious why this was prescribed since it causes drowsiness with other known side effects opposite of phentarmine. I'm assuming it's for depression in this particular case. Please review further of your medication with your doctor.
