A member asked:

How would you take an apical pulse? i've heard this is the most accurate, but never looked into it, as my doc recommends i take my pulse once a day.

Take it at wrist: The apical pulse is taken at the apex of the heart. This is taken by using your stethoscope. The wrist pulse is just fine and is free. You do not need to buy a stethoscope. This will do just fine. Best to you
