I was diagnosed with graves & have been on 10mg of carbimazole daily. it's been 2 weeks now & l don't feel any better. does it take this long to work?

It can: Hi. You should be starting to feel better soon, but depending how high your free T4 and free T3 (liothyronine) were at time of diagnosis, and the carbimazole dose you were started on, it's possible to not have become therapeutic yet. You can increase the carbimazole dose to get more rapid control; talk with your doctor. Good luck!

Carbimazole: It is more usual to start this treatment with 15-20 milligrams. Let your doctor re-examine you and likely your dose will be increased for a short while.
