Nl variation: Over time, and as menopause approaches, cycle irregularity becomes more frequent. But the most common cause before pre-menopause can be rapid weight gain or loss, stress, environmental change, side affect of new med or temporary med like antibiotic or steroid injection, and just a fluke singular monthly variance.
