Probably normal, but: There are all sorts of variations in iris color and this may be one of those. Some people will have a white or yellowish ring around the perimeter of the cornea where it meets the white of the eye. This might appear to be an iris discoloration (the iris is in the eye), but really it is on the cornea, which is the clear dome over the iris. This might be related to increased cholesterol levels.
