Sherlock Holmes time: Does your boyfriend drink a lot of alcohol? Alcohol is metabolized into the same types of chemicals that are present on the breath of those with diabetes. And are you aboslutely certain he is not diabetic? Are there any possible foods, vitamins or hygeine products that he uses that could explain this? If there was a problem with processing amino acids, that would have been detected during infancy.
