4 types of dizziness: True vertigo implies feeling a violent spinning or pulling sensation due to discrepant inputs from the vestibular organs of the inner ear, Light headedness due to brain dysfunction (low BP, ischemia, lesion, intoxication etc). A third condition is unsteadiness from impaired transmission of signal from position sensors (cord syndrome or neuropathy) 4th is psychiatric (anxiety / Hyperventilation)
