Short PR: or Pre-excitation syndrome is an abnormality on the ECG indicating abnormal electrical patterns in your heart. This puts you at risk for a rapid heart beat called atrial tachycardia. You should be evaluated by a cardiologist or electrophysiologist to determine your risk. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!

Short PR: A short PR interval indicates that the time between the atrial excitation and ventricular excitation is shorter than normal, This may lead to episodes of increased heart rate ( tachycardia). A cardiology referral may be needed to determine need for treatment. Medications like beta blockers may be used for treatment.
